Bio
Eva Louise Hall is a professional, independent screenwriter and animator working to create intimately hand-crafted stop-motion films. Through the use of textural aesthetics, tonal horror, and arresting visual metaphor, her films explore the darkest parts of the human condition while exploring our potential for beauty and kindness.
Her most recent short, 'Mira,' toured the international festival circuit to great success throughout 2023-2025, winning top awards in animation and horror categories at Fantastic Fest and SCAD Savannah Film Festival. In 2024 she was invited to Sony Pictures as one of 30 filmmakers for the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards, chosen out of over 5,000 candidates. Her current film project 'Pluck' was awarded a competitive Teri Rodgers Screenwriting Grant by ArtsKC and the KC Film Office and nationally recognized with a 2026 Creative Capital Award.
Her works as a visual storyteller aim to create unique experiences that engage audiences, inspire participation and build community. Her puppetry, set design and animation have been showcased both locally and internationally, including the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, TedxKC, The Museum at Prairie Fire, Crystal Bridges Museum of Art, The Wichita Art Museum, WaterFire KC, Fiji National University and the Suva Hibiscus Festival.
